Microsoft has released a preview of what will be the video calling service Skype into other of its programs, the postal system Outlook.com online . This change is only available now in the UK , but is expected to arrive in a few weeks the United States and Germany. This preliminary version launched this week allows users to make voice and video calls from the same inbox Microsoft service . Among these options delivers video call, chat and message with micro videos. The company also noted that this last set of images of a minute's duration will also be integrated into Windows 8 and 7 , but only with 20 free messages . People interested in this service should register in advance in order to use Skype , however , if you have an account with Outlook.com can integrate and avoid creating a new user. These new features are available through a browser plugin which is integrated to Microsoft Internet Explorer , Chrome and Firefox . So far, the company has not said when it might get this service to more parts of the world besides those mentioned above. As I did last month with Office Mobile for iPhone , Microsoft uses the OWA iOS carrot to entice customers to sign up for Office 365 . Only customers with active accounts to Office 365 OWA may be used on the iPhone or iPad, but the app itself is available for free in the Apple App Store . Also, although it seems that only temporarily , is the requirement of Exchange Online , so that companies that use their own Exchange servers are , for now , out of this service. "We are planning to offer customers OWA Exchange 2013 servers themselves at a future date , but we have no details to offer today," said a spokeswoman for Microsoft . Analysts see this limitation as a grave error , as customers who have adopted Office 2013 in the form of perpetual license are excluded from the use of this new application.
